Aspiag Service recognised for 2016 integrated report

As the CFO of Aspiag Service – Despar Nordest (the Spar brand dealer in North Eastern Italy) I am delighted that our efforts towards Integrated Reporting have resulted in us winning two awards this year for our integrated report. Most recently we were awarded with the first Italian award for ‘Best Integrated Report’ by the Federazione Relazioni Pubbliche Italiana (FERPi), in collaboration with Borsa Italiana and Bocconi University.

The jury that reviewed our report stated, “Full compliance with IIRC Framework. Innovative aspects in the disclosure, like the trade-offs between capitals and a stakeholders’ risks impacts analysis. A full and complete materiality analysis that follows the indications of GRI and IIRC. An advanced research on information connectivity, in particular on organisation’s performance and between strategic objectives and capitals. An elegant graphics and a clear and concise text”.

Earlier in the year we were awarded the international Integrated Report Award for our report by the Institut de Capitalisme Responsible. This recognition reflects our belief that Integrated Reporting has become a way of thinking for us – it is an extraordinary communication tool. Integrated Reporting has enabled us to communicate on our strategy, performance and more broadly about our intangible resources.

We developed the report to ensure we are one step ahead of the European Commission’s Non-Financial Reporting Directive which is now coming into effect. We are using it to guide the organisation and our stakeholders, who support Integrated Reporting, to new objectives of growth in the future.

We really value the recognition we have received for this report and look forward to developing our journey towards Integrated Reporting further in years to come.
