The IIRC is today announcing an invitation to tender to academic institutions to help facilitate collaboration and exchange among academics on matters relating to Integrated Reporting.
The <IR> Academic Network provides a space for connecting theory and practice by bridging academia to those who directly prepare and benefit from integrated reports. The IIRC is looking for partners to help harness the support and enthusiasm of the participants in this network.
Academics have played a crucial role in the development of integrated reporting. Even before the IIRC was created, the community was vocal in pushing this agenda and encouraging innovation, highlighting the potential positive ramifications for markets around the world.
Since the IIRC’s formation in 2010, it has worked closely with academics, collaborating through research, reports and debates that have helped shape how and where integrated reporting is adopted today. Academic research plays a pivotal role in encouraging businesses to adopt Integrated Reporting, highlighting the benefits they can expect to access.
The <IR> Academic Network ensures the IIRC is abreast of relevant academic thinking, informing its work at every stage. Through this tender process, the IIRC hopes to facilitate yet further research to underpin the evidence base for the adoption of Integrated Reporting internationally, as it continues to develop and take hold.
Through this tender process, the IIRC will appoint academic institutions to manage the Network’s strategy, plans and progress in coordination with the IIRC team. Expressions of interest should be sent to Laura Girella at email@example.com by Friday 30 March 2018.
