New collaboration with Dutch accountancy body to spread <IR>

Posted 28 February, 2015

To bring <IR> to new audiences and increase the pace and scale of its adoption, the IIRC is partnering with key organisations. NBA, the Dutch accountancy body, is the latest organisation to deepen their collaboration with the IIRC to increase the momentum towards <IR> by raising awareness in markets across the world. Through this advocacy increasing numbers will be able to experience the benefits <IR> brings to the market.

Initially NBA will focus its efforts on increasing take up of <IR> by businesses both in the Netherlands and further afield through the <IR> Business Network. The network helps businesses on the journey towards <IR> by enabling them to discuss the opportunities and challenges that arise from its implementation, giving participants access to new resources and experienced peers.

The Netherlands has a strong history of leading practice for corporate reporting, with prominent <IR> leaders.  Paul Hurks, Director International Affairs, NBA said, “Integrated Reporting delivers better insight for businesses, investors and the wider economy, helping find better ways to understand and communicate their value creation story. We are delighted to be working more closely with the IIRC in order to give Dutch businesses the opportunity to adopt <IR> through the expertise offered in this network.”

Those involved in the <IR> Business Network are committed to the adoption of <IR>, and are already embracing integrated thinking and driving innovation in reporting. Sarah Grey, Markets Director, IIRC said, “<IR> is recognised by leaders worldwide as the next logical step for corporate reporting. Businesses participating in the <IR> Business Network are at the heart of making this happen, and among the first to reap its benefits. We are delighted to be partnering with NBA, which has played an important role in keeping reporting in the Netherlands ahead of the curve. This partnership will help introduce increasing numbers of companies to <IR>, enabling them to reap its benefits.”
