The second Russian Regional Network (RRN) round table was held on November 2, 2012, hosted by Moscow Stock Exchange.

The event was attended by the representatives of large Russian companies (ROSATOM, ROSATOM’s subsidiaries  TVEL, Rosenergoatom, NIAEP and ARMZ, Rosneft, State Corporation Olympstroy, Gazprom, Norilsk Nickel, Russian Railways), auditors and consultants (Da-Strategy Group, KPMG,  Ernst & Young, BDO Russia), professional organisations (ACCA, Russian Institute of Directors, Institute of Russian professional accountants and auditors), investor community (Horizont – Corporate Finance), as well as representatives of Moscow Stock Exchange and  Moscow International Higher Business School “MIRBIS”.

Network participants discussed the IIRC Pilot Programme Conference outcomes and their relevance for the Russian market. It was pointed out that the global practice of adopting requirements for non-financial and integrated reporting in national legislation and listing rules is likely to become much more widespread. Other topics included the relation between the IR Framework and GRI G4 guidance process as well as effective ways to disclosure business-models in corporate reports.

During the second RRN session a number of ongoing initiatives and projects were discussed. These included Russia’s first IR award contest reports contest organised by the Moscow Stock Exchange; the creation of a booklet of IR articles to be published in December and finally the establishment of an online platform for discussion and in formation exchange among RRN participants.

The next RRN round table is planned for December 2012 and will be wholly devoted to the IR Framework discussion. Outcomes and suggestions will be sent to the IIRC.
