The Edge Financial Daily: 21 PLCs pledge to embrace Integrated Reporting, says minister

Twenty-one public listed companies (PLCs) have pledged to embrace integrated reporting, a form of reporting that helps organizations report how strategy, governance, performance and prospects lead to the creation of value over the short, medium and long term.

“In the nation’s inaugural IR conference organised by the MIA (Malaysia Institute of Accountants) recently, it is encouraging to note that 21 listed companies have pledged to embrace IR in the near future in addition to the existing four IR adopters among listed companies. It is anticipated that more (PLCs) will follow suit,” said Second Finance Minister Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani in his keynote address at the 2016 MIA International Accountants Conference organized by the MIA.
