As Managing Director Sustainability & Governance Claudia Kruse is part of the management team of APG Asset Management reporting into the CIO on the Main Board. APG manages over EUR 400bn on behalf of Dutch pension funds. Her nine people strong team implements the responsible investment policy on behalf of APG and its clients across all asset classes. The focus is on active ownership and ESG integration tailored to the specific investment strategies.
Before joining APG in 2009, she worked on the buy (F&C) and sell-side (JP Morgan) in Responsible Investing in London for almost a decade. Claudia has inter alia published on the Governance of Sustainability and the integration of ESG factors into remuneration which reflects her strong belief in the connection between good governance and sustainability.
She is on the Executive and the General Board of Eumedion, the Dutch Corporate Governance Investor organization, chairs the Integrated Business Reporting Committee of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) and is a member of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). She was recognized as Rising Star of Corporate Governance by the Millstein Centre in 2008 and included in the list of 40 under 40 by Financial News and AiCIO. In 2012 she was a member of the working group for the establishment of the UK Investor Forum.
