Helena Sjöholm

Helena Sjöholm

Helena Sjöholm is senior consultant at Direndi AB, a Swedish based consultancy with the mission to create business values through better governance. She is also business developer at the municipality of Höör, Sweden. Helena is specialised in corporate governance and has long experience from both the public and private sector. Helena is an active advocate in Sweden for integrated reporting and the Integrated Reporting Framework. She has guided the municipality of Höör to create an integrated annual report, since 2016. Helena is also a coordinator for a network on corporate governance and integrated reporting.

The trust capital is of special interest to Helena and specially the role of the boards to reinforce the trust for the organisation. This interest has seen Helena develop as an international anti-corruption policy maker. She has been the Swedish chairman in the creation of the international anti-bribery management system (ISO 37001). She was also involved in the establishment of the international guidance on social responsibility (ISO 26000). Helena is a former board member of the Academy of Board Directors in Scania, Sweden, a non-profit membership organisation aimed at improving corporate governance in Sweden. She has also been a counsellor for educational affairs to the Swedish Academy of Board Directors as well as their center of excellence for corporate governance in the public sector.
