Jean-Luc Barlet has 29 years of international auditing practice, coordinating PIEs and large companies transnational audits across Europe and worldwide. He became a Mazars Partner in 1996, having acquired his auditing experience working with listed and non-listed industrial and service companies. He has also worked in specialized finance (foreign exchange, reinsurance, market transactions, and structured financing).
Since 2001, Jean-Luc Barlet has been a member of the Professional Standards Board, chairing its CSR Task Force. He is also a member of the Public Interest Entities’ Audit Committee of the Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes (CNCC), French Association of Statutory Auditors). Since 2008 he has been a member of the PIE Department Executive Board.
Since 2005 he has been the representative for Mazars at the European Group of International Accounting Networks and Associations and since 2006 the representative for IFAC Forum of Firms, and a member of the IFAC Transnational Auditors Committee.
A graduate of Supelec (engineering school) in 1984, of IAE Paris (business school) in 1988, and later a Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor, Jean-Luc began his career with Honeywell Bull Systems, before joining MAZARS in 1987.
