Jean-Luc Barlet has 32 years of international auditing practice, coordinating PIEs and large companies transnational audits across Europe and worldwide, with specific experience in relations with management, board of directors and governance bodies, through active participation in boards and audit and risks committees, during all these years.

Partner since 1996, having acquired auditing experience working in many sectors, as agro-industries, technology, innovation consulting, geophysics, automotive equipment, national defence industries, nuclear and renewable energies, electrical distribution and transport; and previously in specialised finance fields (foreign exchange, reinsurance, capital market transactions, structured financing).

Chair since 2017 of the Public Interest Entities’ Auditing Committee of the Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes (CNCC, French Association of Statutory Auditors), and since 2003 Chair of its Non-Financial Reporting/CSR working group.

Since 2001, he has been a member of the CNCC Professional Standards Board and its IAASB panel (in charge of answering the IFAC IAASB EDs), and of the PIE Auditing Committee, and since 2008, member of the CNCC PIE Department Executive Board.

Since 2005, he has been a representative for Mazars at EGIAN (European Group of International Accounting Networks) and at the IFAC (International Federation of Accountants) Forum of Firms, appointed at its membership committee, and since 2006, also elected member of the IFAC Transnational Auditors Committee.

Mazars Group Chief Compliance Officer, leading for 12 years its Quality and Risk Management support functions, in their technical and innovative developments.

A graduate of Supelec (engineering school) in 1984, of IAE Paris (business school) in 1988, and later a Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor, Jean-Luc began his career with Honeywell Bull Systems, before joining Mazars in 1987.
