Leigh has been deeply involved in the development of integrated reporting in South Africa. She is a founder of the Integrated Reporting Committee (IRC) of South Africa and is its Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson of the technical Working Group.

She was involved in the development of the International <IR> Framework being a member of the Technical Task Force and Working Group of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).

Leigh has co-authored with Professor Mervyn King the book Integrate: Doing Business in the 21st Century (Juta) and The Healthy Company (Juta 2021) and has hosted TV series on integrated reporting and integrated thinking in South Africa. Leigh has presented on integrated reporting and integrated thinking in South Africa and internationally to boards, executives and practitioners. She has adjudicated for the CGISA Integrated Reporting Awards in South Africa. Leigh is a Chartered Accountant (SA).
