Dr. Lin Zhu is currently a Director of the Accounting Regulatory Department, Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China.
Dr. Zhu is in charge of monitoring the research and promotion of integrated reporting in the People’s Republic of China. As a project manager she participates in the setting of accounting standards for the People’s Republic of China, their implementation and assessment and plays a vital role in the convergence between Chinese accounting standards and International Finance Reporting Standards.
She is also in charge of international liaison for the Accounting Regulatory Department with International Accounting Standards Board and national standard setters.
She is the deputy Chinese Trustee to the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation.
Dr. Zhu chairs the fair value assessment working group within Asia-Oceanian Standard-Setters Group (AOSSG) and previously worked as an international fellow for FASB between 1997 to 1998.
Dr. Zhu is an active speaker at various international accounting conferences, such as ASSOG annual meetings, UNTAD Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting meetings, and the meetings of Emerging Economies Group of the IASB.
Dr. Zhu has published a number of research papers in top academic journals in the People’s Republic of China and holds a Ph.D in Accounting from Renmin University of China.
