Tomás Conde

Tomás has 25 years of experience in the financial sector, specializing in sustainability, CSR, sustainable finance, climate change and digital financial inclusion.

Tomás Conde joined the banking business in 1993 and has held numerous positions, including Director of Risk at BEX Panama numerous positions in Retail Banking, Corporate Banking and Institutional Banking. Conde has been Director of Sustainability at BBVA for more than ten years and during the last few years was responsible for financial inclusion at the IIF in Washington. He represented BBVA in United Nations bodies such as UnepFI, PRI, Global Compact, Global Compact and other multilateral sustainability and SRI initiatives such us GRI, IIRC or SpainSIF.

Economist, Master of Engineering and Environmental Management by the EOI also has an ESG certification by EFFAS and another in digital money by Tufts University MA. He has been a professor of sustainability at the Instituto de Empresa and other important business schools. Author of articles, studies and lecturer.
