<IR> Academic Network

The IIRC is looking to develop an <IR> Academic Network to facilitate collaboration and sharing of information among academics as well as between academics and others, such as reporting organisations, providers of financial capital and policy-makers. The Network will also play a vital role in ensuring the IIRC stays abreast of new academic thinking, and we will seek to collaborate with existing academic networks to extend the reach of this work.

Michael Nugent, IIRC Technical Director – Framework Development, said, “We are seeing an increasingly important role for academic research on the implications of <IR> for businesses and the market, and on specific issues within the Framework itself.  The insights academics create are crucial for the continued development of <IR>, and we believe that this Network will lead to better, more efficient information flows between the academic community, the IIRC and others in the corporate reporting field.”
