One month countdown to global IIRC Conference

Some of the world’s leading thinkers and practitioners from the fields of business, investment and finance will convene in London on 16 and 17 May for the 2019 Global Conference of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).

The conference entitled ‘Inspiring Alignment through value-creation’, will address global progress on how the myriad of different reporting and other initiatives impacting on companies can be brought together, with long-term value creation as the key driver.

The IIRC is encouraging all those with an interest in the IIRC’s mission of business and investment which is long-term, inclusive and with purpose, to sign-up to attend the conference which is likely to be a centerpiece of the global corporate calendar in 2019.

At a time when business is tasked with adapting to rapid economic and technological change transparency in corporate governance, decision-making and reporting has never been more important.

Over two full days, delegates will discuss with a distinguished array of speakers drawn from across the world, the trends shaping the future of corporate reporting and how business, capital markets and reporting standard setters need to respond in a way that inspires confidence, reduces clutter and promotes both sustainable development and financial stability.

Among the speakers will be: Dominic Barton, Chair of the IIRC Council and global leader in management consultancy, Dr. Amy Zalman, one of the world’s leading futurists, Pavan Sukhdev, President of WWF International, Izumi Kobayashi, Co-Chair, Women Corporate Directors, Japan and Professor Judge Mervyn King, one of the world’s leading thinkers on corporate governance.
