Nick Ridehalgh

Nick Ridehalgh is a partner at KPMG. Nick has over 35 years experience in providing assurance and advisory services. He specialises in the CFO change agenda, especially in process improvement, project management, financial analysis, internal through external reporting (including global thought leader in integrated reporting). Nick leads KPMG’s better business reporting group in Australia.

Nick has led many engagements to support organisations to cut the clutter and improve management, board and external reporting (financial and non financial) as well as improving how reports are designed and presented to key stakeholders (especially the capital markets). He is a recognised leader in good practice corporate reporting and communications. A member of the CAANZ Broad Based Business Reporting Panel, the International Integrated Reporting Council working group that developed the global framework for integrated reporting (2010-2013), and project lead of the Australian Business Reporting Leaders Forum, a forum of Australian directors, finance and sustainability executives, investors, academics and leaders from finance and sustainability professional services organisations (2010- current).

Nick is also the 2017 Australian Board Director of the Year at the Third Sector awards (Not-for-profits), for his work at Camp Quality over many years, but specifically for his support in development of their first integrated report.

Nick has recently been appointed to the IAASB’s Extended External Reporting Project Advisory Panel focused on the challenges to assuring extended external reports i.e. integrated reports. He has written a number of thought leadership publications on best practice reporting including the Shareholder Friendly Report (with AICD), Best Practice ESG reporting, CFOs driving the reporting agenda and many others, and is regularly in the press discussing governance, transparency and reporting.
