Professor Cristiano Busco

Integrated Thinking Group Co-Chair

Dr. Cristiano Busco co-leads the work within the IFRS Foundation’s special interest group on Integrated Thinking & Strategy, which consists of around 40 companies and knowledge partners. The focus of the group is to offer world-renowned and innovative organisations the opportunity to share thinking about developing strategy across multiple capitals, learn from world leaders and co-create a common view of integrated thinking that is globally relevant to help build resilient, future-fit businesses.

A Ph.D from Manchester Business School, Cristiano is also Professor of Accounting and Reporting at Luiss Business School in Rome, and University College London. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education and training, Dr. Busco has held various positions in the US (University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and Babson College, Boston), the UK (Manchester Business School), Ireland (National University of Ireland, Galway) and Italy (University of Siena). He has conducted research, and published reports for the AICPA-CIMA (American Institute of CPAs – The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and for the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants).

Dr. Busco’s main research interests include Performance Measurement and Corporate Reporting; Integrated Reporting and its development; Integrated Thinking and Strategy; Corporate Purpose and Sustainability. He has published several academic papers, professional contributions and books on Integrated Thinking and Reporting.
