Tim Sheehy is the Director General of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). The ICSA is the premier global qualifying organisation for professionals aspiring to become a Chartered Secretary and or a Chartered Governance Professional. Tim is also an Adjunct Professor at Western Sydney University in the School of Law.
Prior to this role Tim had a 15-year career as the Chief Executive of the Australian Division of the ICSA, known as Governance Institute of Australia.
During his tenure, Tim positioned the Governance Institute as the leader in promoting the importance of practicing good governance and how it contributes to improving organisational performance. Tim ensured that Governance Institute worked closely with ASIC, the ASX and Government and was able to influence the governance framework in Australia.
Before joining Governance Institute, Tim held distinguished roles in management consulting with McKinsey & Co. and Anderson Consulting, in investment banking with Westpac and Swiss Bank Corporation and as a member of the academic staff at the University of New England, Armidale, NSW.
